Problem: RDC-5000 and RDC-5300 cameras have a USB
compatibility problem under Macintosh OS 9.0 and other new
Macintosh products running Macintosh USB version 1.30 or greater
Solution: The cameras firmware must be upgraded. This
firmware upgrade is free of charge.
Procedure:
1. Determine the USB version of your Macintosh by clicking
the Apple icon on the left side of the upper menu bar. Select
"Apple system profile" in the pull down menu. Then, select
the "Devices and Volume" tab in the pop up window. The USB
version will look like this;

2. If the version shown is 1.30 or higher, the cameras firmware
must be upgraded.
3. Contact your regional Ricoh service office listed below
for firmware upgrade instructions.
